- Current child protection training and strong knowledge of child safe standards
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of National Regulations

The Role
We have a fantastic permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced OSHC Coordinator in the Surf Coast area. The successful applicant will manage our Before School, After School and Holiday Care Programs, delivering a remarkable service to support families and children.Along with coordinating the Anglesea Primary School OSHC program the successful person will also work as an Education Support officer at Anglesea Primary school during the day.
Reporting to the Area Manager, the essential purpose of thi role is to deliver a fun and engaging program. This will be achieved by providing an inclusive and fun environment where children are safe, engaged and well supervised.
We are seeking a suitably qualified and passionate person with previous experience working with primary school children of all ages and developmental levels. Hours will be around 25 - 30 hours a week in OSHC and 10-12 hrs in an Education Support (teacher aide) role during the day at Anglesea Primary School.
Duties as the OSHC coordinator include program administration, rostering, supervising and assisting casual staff in running activities, food preparation and general cleaning. Duties as the Education Support include providing additional support to students, under the direction of the classroom teacher.
The successful applicant will demonstrate an ability to deliver a safe, caring and engaging program for primary school students. A sound working knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, first aid qualifications and a valid Working With Children Check (or VIT) are also required for this position.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop, plan and implement a stimulating, educational childcare program
- Maintain a child safe environment for all children
- Assist children in routine tasks
- Communicate effectively with staff, families and children
- General administrative tasks
